Frequently Asked Questions

What functions does this calculator support?

The calculator supports sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, atan, log (base 10), ln (natural log), sqrt, power (^), factorial (!), π, e, parentheses, and all basic arithmetic operators.

How do I switch between degrees and radians?

Click the DEG/RAD button. When DEG is shown, trigonometric functions use degree input. When RAD is shown, they use radian input.

What does the log function compute?

The log function computes the base-10 logarithm (log₁₀). For the natural logarithm (base e), use the ln function instead.

How do I calculate a factorial?

Type a positive integer followed by the ! button. For example, 5! calculates 1×2×3×4×5 = 120. Note that very large factorials may exceed numeric precision.

A full scientific calculator

A scientific calculator handles far more than basic arithmetic: trigonometry, logarithms, exponents, roots, factorials and constants like pi and e. It follows the correct order of operations so complex expressions evaluate the way you expect.

It puts a classroom or lab calculator right in your browser, no batteries required.

Where a scientific calculator helps

  • Maths, physics and engineering homework.
  • Quick scientific calculations at work.
  • Checking results without hunting for a physical calculator.
  • For everyday percentages use the percentage calculator; to test primes, the prime number checker.
