Yes. The timer and stopwatch use JavaScript intervals that continue to run while the tab is in the background. However, some browsers may throttle inactive tabs — for best accuracy keep the tab visible for important timing tasks.
What is the maximum duration for the countdown timer?
You can set up to 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds — nearly a full day.
What happens when the countdown reaches zero?
The display switches to a flashing 'Time's up!' message so you can see at a glance that the timer has finished.
Can I pause and resume the countdown?
Yes. Press Pause to freeze the remaining time and Start again to continue from where you left off. Press Reset to return to the input screen and set a new duration.
